These experiences can bring families an abundance of joy and wonder. Just as often, they bring unexpected challenges – to pregnant and postpartum parents, to parents who struggle to conceive or experience loss of a pregnancy or infant, and to parents who adopt.
You may find you struggle with depression, anxiety, irritability, anger, grief, fear, guilt, racing or scary thoughts, loss of interest and pleasure, relationship and sexuality problems, body image issues, or insomnia. In my practice, all of these experiences fall under the umbrella of Reproductive + Maternal Mental Health. Wherever you are in your journey, your mental health and wellbeing matters. Help is available – you are not alone.

Asking for help is one of the hardest things we have to do. Making space for ourselves to receive support often feels like the lowest priority. When you do decide to reach out, you deserve access to qualified, experienced, and compassionate care. To this end, I will work to support, hear, and understand you, while providing informed feedback, solutions, and resources that can help you feel better. Depending on your needs, I may offer assessment and screening tools to better understand what help is needed right away. When indicated, I can make referrals to other qualified providers for medications, medical care, and alternative health and wellness care in the community.
Partners and babies are welcome to accompany you, and I aim to provide a calm, comforting environment where you can feel at ease while nursing, feeding, or caring for your child.
I also offer a drop-in, donation-based support group for new moms during baby’s first year at the Midwife Group and Birth Center.
If you have any questions about my services or if you are concerned about how you or your family member are feeling, please contact me.
